Addiction medicine at SNAP
Addiction medicine
in Las Vegas.
Hospital consultations at Southern Hills Hospital and outpatient addiction care by video for Nevada, planned from December 2, 2026. Care begins with understanding your health, your experiences, and your goals.
At Southern Hills Hospital & Medical Center
Nevada’s first and only Addiction Medicine consult group.
Southern Nevada Addiction Partners provides Addiction Medicine consultations for patients hospitalized at Southern Hills Hospital & Medical Center in Las Vegas.
Our physicians work alongside the treating hospital team to assess substance use concerns, discuss treatment options, and help plan for continuing care. This brings dedicated Addiction Medicine expertise into the hospital setting, where an important next step in treatment can begin.
For hospitalized patients: ask your treating hospital team whether an Addiction Medicine consultation is appropriate. Inpatient consultations are coordinated through the hospital team.
Outpatient telehealth scheduling is being prepared separately. Booking an outpatient visit does not arrange a hospital admission or inpatient consultation.
01 / Opioid use
You have treatment options.
If opioids have become difficult to manage, a medical conversation can help you understand your options. An evaluation considers your substance use, medical history, current medications, prior treatment, and recovery goals.
Medication is an established part of treatment for opioid use disorder. Buprenorphine is one option a physician may consider when medically appropriate. Your physician will discuss expected benefits, possible risks, and what starting or continuing treatment may involve.
There is no single treatment plan for everyone. A visit does not guarantee a particular medication or prescription.

02 / Alcohol use
Start with an honest conversation.
You don’t need a perfect label for your drinking to discuss it with a physician. We can begin by looking at how alcohol affects your health and day-to-day life, what you have tried before, and what you hope to change.
Treatment planning may include a discussion of medication options, counseling and community supports, and the level of care that best fits your medical needs.
Alcohol withdrawal can be dangerous. If you may be physically dependent on alcohol, seek medical guidance before stopping suddenly. An outpatient video visit is not a substitute for urgent withdrawal assessment.

03 / Ongoing recovery
Care that can grow with you.
Recovery can bring new goals and new questions over time. Follow-up visits create space to talk about what is working, what is difficult, and what may need to change in your treatment plan.
- Review symptoms, medications, and treatment goals.
- Discuss barriers to care and changes in your health.
- Coordinate with counseling, primary care, or other services when appropriate.
- Plan follow-up based on your individual clinical needs.
Your safety matters
The right care, in the right setting.
Alongside its hospital consultation service, SNAP is preparing a cash-pay Nevada telehealth practice. A physician will assess whether an outpatient video visit is appropriate. Some concerns need in-person care, additional testing, or a higher level of treatment.
The outpatient booking page does not arrange emergency care, hospital admission, or on-demand detoxification. For a medical emergency, call 911 or go to the nearest emergency department.
