BOARD-CERTIFIED ADDICTION MEDICINE · SOUTHERN NEVADA

What to expect

You don’t have to arrive
with all the answers.

Your first appointment is a chance to be heard, understand your options, and decide on a next step with your physician.

Before your appointment

Make a little space for yourself.

Choose a private place where you can speak comfortably. You will need a camera-enabled phone, tablet, or computer and a reliable internet connection. Please plan to be physically in Nevada during your visit.

A few things to have ready

  • A photo ID and the information requested through the patient system.
  • A current list of medications, supplements, and allergies.
  • Your preferred pharmacy and contact information for other treating clinicians.
  • Any questions or goals you would like to discuss.

You can write things down in advance, but you do not need to prepare a perfect explanation of what you are experiencing.

During your appointment

A conversation, then a plan.

Your physician will ask about your physical and mental health, substance use, prior treatment, current medications, and what brings you to care. This information helps guide a medical assessment and recommendations.

You will have the opportunity to ask questions and talk through the options. When appropriate, the conversation may include medications, additional evaluation, counseling, or other treatment supports.

An evaluation does not guarantee any particular prescription. Your physician will make recommendations based on your individual needs and safety.

After your appointment

Leave with a next step.

You and your physician will review recommended next steps, including follow-up and any additional evaluation or services. Care plans may change as your needs and goals change.

Before the visit ends, ask how to contact the practice for non-urgent questions and what to do if your symptoms become urgent.

Practical details

Clarity before you book.

SNAP is preparing a cash-pay telehealth service. Confirmed appointment fees and payment policies will be published before scheduling opens. Pharmacy, laboratory, and outside-service costs may be separate.

Online scheduling is not yet open. The appointment page will connect to the clinic’s scheduling system once it is ready, so you can review real availability and complete booking there.
